KILAUEA VOLCANO Update
This is a Civil Defense message for Monday 06-03-2024 at 10:25 AM.
The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory has updated Kilauea volcano’s alert status from WARNING to WATCH.
A Volcano WATCH means an eruption is underway with limited hazards.
Due to Kilauea’s Volcano WATCH, please be advised:
- There is no threat to any communities.
- Volcanic gases are being blow downwind, if you are sensitive to gases take necessary precautions.
- The eruption is occurring in a remote area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, southwest of the Kilauea Summit.
You will be informed as conditions change.
