Kilauea Volcano erupts overnight on Hawaii Island

Following a Sunday on alert from seismic activity in the area, Kilauea began erupting Monday morning according to USGS.

Breezy winds continue at 15-25 mph with increased showers for windward and mauka areas, spilling over into leeward areas occasionally. Daytime high is 87°.
