Man charged following large drug bust in Ocean View

A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with numerous drug-related offenses after police executed a search warrant Dec. 17 at an unoccupied residence in Ocean View.

Police allegedly discovered a large marijuana-growing operation in the home, located on the 92-8600 block of Jasmine Drive.

As a result of their ongoing investigation, vice officers on Monday arrested Jordin Trevena-Garon of Ocean View.

During the search, police allegedly recovered approximately 397 marijuana plants, 364 pounds of processed marijuana, 19,814 grams of marijuana concentrate, 1.2 grams of cocaine and four firearms.

The estimated street value of the recovered narcotics is $1.4 million, according to police.

Also seized for forfeiture was more than $14,600 in U.S. currency, a white 2000 Ford Power stroke F-350 truck valued at $40,000, and a Honda utility vehicle valued at $16,000.

Trevena-Garon was charged with the following offenses: Three counts of first-degree commercial promotion of marijuana; first-degree promotion of a harmful drug; third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug; and five counts of ownership or possession of prohibited firearms and/or ammunition.

Trevena-Garon’s bail was set at $505,000, and he remained in custody pending his initial court appearance later today.
