Hawaiʻi Enters Agreement With Top Japanese Buyer of Liquefied Natural Gas

Gov. Josh Green has entered Hawaiʻi into an agreement with JERA, Japan’s largest energy company, to move ahead with a plan to import liquefied natural gas to power Oʻahu’s grid.

Hawaiʻi Nonprofits Now Have Access to $50M in Grants

The state of Hawaiʻi has opened applications for $50 million in grants to support local nonprofits. The grants were created through Act 310, Session Laws of Hawaiʻi 2025 and will be distributed for fiscal year 2025-2026. Applications are open from Monday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 24. Nonprofits can apply online.
