Louisiana reports first bird flu-related death in U.S.
Nearly 70 people in the U.S. have contracted bird flu since April, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, most of them livestock workers exposed to sick chickens or dairy cattle. Read more
High surf warning for most north, west shores through Thursday
The National Weather Service warns of “dangerously large, breaking waves of 15 to 20 feet today and 20 to 25 feet by Tuesday” along the west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai. Read more
