State races conclude with latest printout
Closest race determined by 20 votes
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – All state races in the general election concluded Wednesday when the Hawaii Office of Elections released its fourth printout.

Winners emerged in the following key state races as results were released throughout the day.
Senate District 6: Incumbent Democrat Sen. Angus McKelvey defeats Republican challenger Sheila Walker to represent West Maui, Maalaea, Waikapu, South Maui. Called after 2nd printout.
Senate District 22: Republican Samantha DeCorte defeats Democrat Cedric Gates for the open seat to represent Ko Olina, Nanakuli, Maili, Waianae, Makaha, and Makua. Called after 2nd printout.
Senate District 23: Republican incumbent Sen. Brenton Awa defeats Democrat Ben Shafer to represent Kaneohe, Kahaluu, Laie, Kahuku, Mokuleia, Schofield Barracks, and Kunia Camp. Called after 3rd printout.
House District 6: Democrat freshman incumbent Rep. Kirstin Kahaloa defeats Republican Sylvie Madison to represent West Hawaii – Honaunau, Napoopoo, Captain Cook, Kealakekua, Keauhou, Holualoa, Kailua-Kona. Called after 1st printout.
House District 7: Democrat incumbent Rep. Nicole Lowen defeats Timothy Dalhouse to represent West Hawaii – Kailua-Kona, Honokohau, Kalaoa, Puuanahulu, Puako, Waikoloa. Called after 1st printout.
House District 12: Democrat incumbent Rep. Kyle Yamashita defeats Republican Dan Johnson and Green Party candidate Rita Ryan to represent West Maui – Keahua, Haliimaile, Pukalani, Makawao, Pulehu, Waiakoa, Kula, Keokea, Ulupalakua. Called after 1st printout.
House District 20: Democrat Tina Nakada Grandinetti defeats Republican Corinne Solomon for the open seat to represent Leahi, Kahala, Waialae, Kaimuki, Kapahulu. Called after 1st printout.
House District 29: Democrat Ikaika Hussey defeats Republican Carole Kaapu for the open seat to represent Kamehameha Heights, Kalihi Valley, and Kalihi. Called after 2nd printout.
House District 30: Democrat Shirley Templo defeats Republican P.M. Azinga to represent Kalihi, Kalihi Kai, Keehi Lagoon, and Hickam Village. Templo beat current Rep. Sonny Ganaden in the primary election. Called after 2nd printout.
House District 32: Republican Garner Shimizu defeats Democrat incumbent Rep. Micah Aiu by a 76-vote margin to represent Fort Shafter, Moanalua, Aliamanu, Foster Village, Aiea, Halawa. Determined after 4th printout.
House District 39: Republican incumbent Rep. Elijah Pierick defeats Democrat Corey Rosenlee by a 20-vote margin to represent Royal Kunia, Village Park, Honouliuli, Hoopili, and Waipahu. Determined after 4th printout.
House District 40: Republican Julie Reyes Oda defeats Democrat incumbent Rep. Rose Martinez to represent Lower Village, Ewa Beach, Iroquois Point. Called after 3rd printout.
House District 41: Republican freshman incumbent Rep. David Alcos defeats Democrat John Clark to represent Ewa Beach, Ocean Pointe, Barbers Point. Called after 1st printout.
House District 42: Republican freshman incumbent Rep. Diamond Garcia defeats Democrat Anthony Makana Paris to represent Varona Village, Ewa, Kapolei, Fernandez Village. Called after 1st printout.
House District 45: Republican Chris Muraoka defeats Democrat Desire Desoto for the open seat to represent Waianae, Makaha. Determined after 4th printout.
House District 50: Democrat Mike Lee defeats Republican Timothy Connelly to represent Kailua and Kaneohe Bay. Lee beat current Rep. Natalia Hussey-Burdick in the primary. Called after 2nd printout.

The fourth printout, posted just before 8 p.m., added approximately 18,000 absentee, day-of Oahu ballots to the totals.
The third printout, which was released in phases, by county, throughout the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The first statewide printout was released just after midnight and the second released at 12:30 a.m.
