Update: One of two suspects in Hilo burglary identified, arrested and charged

47-year-old Sheldon Pagan of Hilo is charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and third-degree criminal property damage in connection with the early morning Sept. 15 incident at a business in the 100 block of Kalanianaʻole Street.

Amended sewer service status announced for 15 West Maui lots

The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management’s Wastewater Reclamation Division announced that it has amended the Sewer Service Status from “red” to “green,” meaning sewer service is now active for 15 properties including: one lot on Kaili Place, six lots near Kopili and Kuhua streets, and eight lots near Mall Place and Ainakea Road.
