The indictment follows an extensive investigation by the Hawaii Police Department’s West Hawaii Juvenile Aid Section.

The investigation stemmed from a report made on Dec. 9, 2024, by a then-47-year-old female victim who was in a dating relationship with Wong.

The victim reported that Wong had threatened her, physically abused her, and shot her in the left arm and back area with a firearm.

The incidents were reported to have occurred at a North Kohala residence between April 26, 2023, and Nov. 8, 2024.

Wong was arrested on April 8 pursuant to a grand jury bench warrant. He is free after posting $100,000 bond.
