Police investigate threat at Kealakehe school

Police responded to Kealakehe Intermediate School today following a report that a student intended to bring a firearm to the campus.

Officers interviewed several students. Through the investigation, officers determined that the student in question was absent and was not on campus.

 


Officers have been unable to locate anyone who directly heard the alleged threat, and the report has not been substantiated.

The school’s daily operations were not impacted, and the campus remained open.
