Man sentenced to 70 months in prison for housing credits scam

By JOHN BURNETT Hawaii Tribune-Herald The first of four Big Island men convicted of a scam involving Hawaii County affordable housing credits was sentenced Friday in federal court. U.S. District Judge Jill Otake sentenced56-year-old Gary Zamber to 70 months imprisonment plus three years ofsupervised release – the federal equivalent of probation – after his incarceration is completed.
