Hawaiʻi Among 18 States That Will Limit Junk Food From SNAP Benefits Next Year

Starting in 2026, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Colorado, Florida, West Virginia, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Utah, Hawaiʻi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee will prohibit the use of SNAP benefits to buy items like soda, energy drinks, candy and prepared desserts.

NOAA Funds Restoration Work Along Kona’s Aliʻi Drive

Honolulu Marathon Sets Record Numbers in the Rain

The JAL Honolulu Marathon kicked off Sunday at Ala Moana Boulevard. Marathon officials said more than 32,000 runners departed from Ala Moana in the marathon and companion Start to Park 10-K. Tsegay Weldibanos from Eritrea came in first place in the elite men’s division with a time of 2:13:41. And in the women’s elite division, Calli Hauger-Thackery, from Great Britain, came in first place with a time of 2:30:44.
