There is no threat of tsunami after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck southeast Alaska today, officials said.

The quake struck at 10:41 a.m. Hawaii time and was centered about 56 miles north of Yakutat, Alaska (population 662), and about 154 miles west of White Horse, Canada, at a depth of about 6 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
