Infant involved in two-vehicle crash on Hawaii island dies
A passenger who was in the backseat of the Subaru, identified as 47-year-old Anina Masaichy of Kailua-Kona, was unresponsive at the scene and later pronounced dead at 7:53 p.m. Read more

Big Isle officer struck by SUV helping a stalled motorist
The on-duty police officer, 27, was reportedly struck while she was assisting a motorist whose vehicle was stalled near the intersection of Kekuanaoa Street and Kanoelehua Avenue in Hilo, according to a news release. Read more
