An upper level low will move over the island tonight as it treks in the opposite direction of its high pressure cousin to the northeast causing fire concerns at lower elevations; total snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches is possible atop Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa under winter weather advisory conditions.

National Weather Service forecast calls for east winds to continue at a sustained 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of up to 40 mph, and relative humidity levels will hover as low as 43%.
