What’s your biggest concern about the government shutdown?

We are now 23 days into the government shutdown, one of the longest in U.S. history. While Democrats continue to push for a bipartisan plan to reopen the government and prevent health care costs from skyrocketing, Speaker Mike Johnson has canceled House votes yet again— preventing Congress from doing its job to serve the American people, including paying servicemembers and federal workers, supporting small businesses, and delivering critical services that millions rely on.

Government shutdowns mean real harm for real people, and the impact is personal and different for everyone. Workers might go without pay, seniors and veterans could see delayed benefits, and families already on the edge may see deepening challenges.
