Shanice Ogata-Staudinger, 30, got separated from a relative while out picking opihi on July 9, 2023, in the area of Kahakai Boulevard and Papio Street in Pāhoa, at a spot commonly known as “Hau Bush.”

Update: Pāhoa woman officially charged for allegedly strangling man to death after she says he tried to kill her
42-year-old Patricia Ann McConnell of Pāhoa was charged with second-degree murder in connection with a reported domestic dispute late the night of April 24 in Nānāwale Estates between her and 45-year-old Patrick Gideon John-Bruce Dalrymple-Collins also of Pāhoa.
