Search continues for local fisherman last seen offshore near Miloli‘i
The fisherman and his vessel’s current whereabouts are unknown. His truck and boat trailer were located parked near the South Point boat ramp area. Coast Guard officials say the search will continue till at least Tuesday.

Update: Big Island police initiate missing person investigation for Kona fisherman
Meanwhile, Hawaiʻi Fire Department and U.S. Coast Guard aerial search efforts continue offshore of South Point for 42-year-old Earl Kekuanaoa Hind and his 23-foot vessel “Makalapua Onalani.” Additional shoreline searches also are underway. Police also ask if anyone in the public might be able to help find him.
