Kaui Manners, 45, and Darryl Lee, 35, were charged Wednesday with second-degree murder and Jordan Topinio, 36, was charged with first-degree robbery. Read more

Honolulu watchstanders received notification at 2:12 a.m. that the Hula Girl, a commercial catamaran, had broken free of its off-shore moorings in the bay. It ran aground off the north side of Honolua Bay. Read more
Medevac plane crashes in Philadelphia with child, 5 others on board
Jet Rescue Air Ambulance said its aircraft crashed with four crew members, one pediatric medical patient and the patient’s escort on board. Read more

Black boxes recovered after deadly midair crash near D.C.
Investigators were able today to recover the helicopter’s black box, which captures flight data and voices in the cockpit, National Transportation Safety Board member Todd Inman said at an afternoon briefing. Read more
