Maui firefighters rescue 3 from rising waters at Iao Stream
The Maui Fire Department said it received a 911 call just before 3 p.m. Sunday for a swiftwater rescue at Iao Stream, mauka of Mokuhau Park. The battalion chief, two engines and Air 1 helicopter responded. Read more

Motorcyclist, 23, is Kauai’s 1st traffic fatality in 2025
Police said at about 11 p.m. Sunday, the man was heading eastbound on Kaumualii Highway on a 2008 Honda motorcycle when he lost control and crashed near Hoomana Road. Read more
