Update: High wind warning issued for Big Island summits; wind advisory continues for Hāmākua, North/South Kohala, Kaʻū, interior

East winds of 50 to 60 mph, with gusts of up to 70 mph, are forecast atop Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, making travel to and at the summits difficult. The warning is in effect through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
