Coast Guard searching for missing people following helicopter crash off Kaua‘i coast
The helicopter that crashed was a Robinson R44 from the Ali’i Kauaʻi Air Tours and Charters company in Kaua‘i. The helicopter had one pilot and two passengers aboard.

Everywhere you looked Saturday at Mo‘oheau Park and Bandstand in downtown Hilo, the party was hopping. Diversity was on display in several different senses of the word. Friends and family came together to have fun. Smiles and hugs were commonplace and given out freely. There was joy, laughter, happiness, inclusiveness and acceptance. All attributes that lend themselves to celebration.

State opens micro-grant program for small-scale agriculture
The Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the popular Micro-Grant for Food Security Program. This is the fourth year of the grant program which provides support for small-scale gardening, herding and livestock operations to increase the quantity and quality of locally grown food in food-insecure communities. A total of $3,576,470 is available for this year’s program which was provided by the US Department of Agriculture under the 2018 Farm Bill.
