Charges stem from a series of crimes committed between July 3-4, including the theft of a Jeep originally reported stolen on May 18 from the Home Depot parking lot in Hilo, damaging a Toyota 4Runner and Toyota RAV-4, leaving the scene of a traffic collision involving bodily injury, and multiple offenses related to fleeing from police.

Big Island community comes together to ‘Celebrate Life!’ during annual Pride Festival
Everywhere you looked Saturday at Mo‘oheau Park and Bandstand in downtown Hilo, the party was hopping. Diversity was on display in several different senses of the word. Friends and family came together to have fun. Smiles and hugs were commonplace and given out freely. There was joy, laughter, happiness, inclusiveness and acceptance. All attributes that lend themselves to celebration.
