Over the past 24 hours, there were approximately 25 earthquakes detected beneath Kaluapele (Kīlauea caldera) and 95 earthquakes detected beneath the Upper East Rift Zone, mostly at depths of 0.6–1.8 miles beneath the ground surface.

Big Island community comes together to ‘Celebrate Life!’ during annual Pride Festival
Everywhere you looked Saturday at Mo‘oheau Park and Bandstand in downtown Hilo, the party was hopping. Diversity was on display in several different senses of the word. Friends and family came together to have fun. Smiles and hugs were commonplace and given out freely. There was joy, laughter, happiness, inclusiveness and acceptance. All attributes that lend themselves to celebration.
