DOH investigating whooping cough cases on Hawaii Island

The state Department of Health is investigating two confirmed cases of pertussis — also known as whooping cough — and identified eight probable cases in two separate households without travel-related exposures on Hawaii Island.

Judiciary: Beware of jury duty ‘scam’

The Hawaii State Judiciary is warning the public that scammers are posing as police officers, state sheriffs and Judiciary employees claiming that there is a warrant for your arrest for failing to appear for jury duty.
